About the Festival

Steve Mullins, musician extraordinaire, lives on a farm about 35 miles north of Denver. His beautiful log home has been the site of many wonderful house concerts. One day he suggested to Edward Dick that it might be fun to get together and have a concert featuring the banjola. Edward suggested that it might be fun to do it outdoors. And why not invite some other banjola performers?

Musicicans were very responsive, others expressed a desire to attend. Thus was born The First Ever Colorado Banjola Festival in August 2009.
