If you are interested in the sound of the 6 string banjola, but don't have any experience with either a mandolin, guitar or banjo, this book is perfect for you. Even if you have experience with those instruments, it will help round out your knowledge. The book covers all you need for a great foundation for playing the banjola. It covers history, understanding the fretboard, techniques, and tunes. There is over 80 pages of tunes, and they range from historical pieces to modern day original compositions written exclusively for the banjola.
Writtten and assembled by Steve Mullins, an accomplished mandolin player, flamenco guitarist and music professor at the Universtity of Colorado. Grammy Award winning Al Petteway and Edward Victor Dick also contributed to the book.
